Trans Family Reunion are bi-monthly, Sunday matinee shows at Turbo Haus situated on lands known as Tiohtià:ke, Mooniyang and Montreal. We showcase 2S, trans and/or non-binary musicians and the people that support us. Community building and music are more important to us than genre matching. From hardcore to bluegrass, Harsh Noise to HipHop, we book our shows in the categories of either super loud and less loud (though free ear plugs are always available). There is no shortage of gender diverse musicians and bands who rock! Everyone is welcome to attend.
We're hoping to build community/audiences for trans, non-binary musicians by including bandmates and bands that may be on tour with them or come from other communities that they or we belong to. No one needs to out themselves to play and we will trust that musicians who are interested self-identify in some way as 2S, trans, and or non-binary.

Nous présentons des artistes et musicien(ne)s 2S, trans et ou non-binaire, ainsi que nos supporteurs.
Les liens communautaires sont plus importants pour nous que les genres musicaux - Du Hardcore au Bluegrass, le Harsh Noise au Hip-Hop, nous programmons des concerts qui démontrent les extrêmes sonores, allant du calme au bruyant (pour lesquel on prévoit des bouchons d'oreilles gratos, bien sur)
Il n'y a aucune pénurie d'artistes divers dans tout les sens du terme; et de groupes qui envoie du lourd ! Tout le monde est le bienvenue
Nous espérons entretenir une communauté et un public pour les artistes trans et non-binaires, incluant des groupes et membres en tournée et/ou provenant d'autres scènes connectées.

With two decades of experience in the music world — including her years with the band Motel Raphaël — Emily Skahan introduced her alter ego Georgette in 2019. Blending sharp, witty lyrics with irresistible contemporary pop, Georgette explores feminist ideas, champions LGBTQ+ rights, and stands for justice and equity. Named Artist of the Year for the Centre-du-Québec by CALQ in 2023, she has released a series of acclaimed EPs — Funny Girl (2019), Bouclier (2020), Pré (2022), and Chansons vivaces (2022). In 2024, she returned with the bold single J’avais pas pensé à lui, heralding her debut full-length album Rituel, released on March 7,
2025.
The fall of 2025 has been a prolific season, marked by two new releases — Le roi est mort with Sissi and Whip It, written for the new roller derby film Les Furies — as well as a nomination for Performing Artist of the Year at Culture Centre-du-Québec’s annual Galart awards.

Blanc Dehors :
Blanc Dehors est né en 2020, au Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. Porté par les textes de
Caroline Tremblay, qui s’accompagnent d’une création musicale collective signée à quatre,
avec Julien B. Gauthier, Stevens Bouchard et Alexis Bélanger, le groupe s’est formé autour
d’une passion commune : la profondeur, la fureur et l’éclat du New Wave, du Post-Punk et
de la Synth Pop. Sur scène, on y déploie une grande palette d’ambiances qui, par
moments, sont bien rythmées et enthousiastes et, par d’autres, insufflent l’atmosphérique,
le planant, l’onirique et le mystère. Le tout — profond, volatile ou hautement dansant —
s’entremêle au fil de motifs mélodico-rythmiques simples et accrocheurs, qui sont
développés et distribués dans un contrepoint intelligent et sensible. Il en résulte ainsi un
groupe contemporain tout à fait original, où la section rythmique connectée, pesante et
régulière offre un terrain solide sur lequel prendre son envol. Le spectacle qu’offre Blanc
Dehors est un moment lumineux, énergisant et rempli de passion.
À l’automne 2023, Gab Bouchard, séduit par leur son, propose une collaboration à Blanc
Dehors pour leur deuxième album. Accompagné de son collaborateur Mathieu Quenneville,
il a guidé la réalisation de cet opus clé, soutenant Blanc Dehors dans son aspiration à
marquer la scène musicale francophone avec son identité sonore assumée. Sorti le 4 avril
2025, Diaphane a reçu un accueil très positif du public et des médias, qui ont salué son
originalité et la force de son univers musical.

Turbo Presents: Absolute Losers + Good Feeling + Private Lives
Absolute Losers est un trio rock originaire de Charlottetown, à l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard, composé des frères Sam et Josh Langille et de leur ami de longue date, Daniel Hartinger. Reconnu pour son jeu de guitare incisif, son chant décontracté et sa rythmique basse-batterie entraînante, le groupe a fait une entrée remarquée avec son premier album autoproduit, *At The Mall*, sorti en 2023. L'album a rapidement trouvé son public, se faisant remarquer sur les radios universitaires et grimpant dans les palmarès de CJLO et CHSR, et leur valant une apparition dans l'émission *Q* de Tom Power. En 2024, le groupe a été nommé « Révélation de l'année » aux Music PEI Awards.
Encensés pour leurs concerts impeccables et débordants d'énergie, les Absolute Losers sont devenus un groupe incontournable, offrant une performance live à la hauteur de leur talent musical. Ils ont partagé la scène avec des artistes de renom tels que TUNS, Daniel Romano's Outfit, Skydiggers et Holy Fuck, et ont offert des prestations remarquables dans des festivals comme le Dawson City Music Festival, Hillside, Sappyfest et SOMMO.
Aujourd'hui, en collaboration avec le producteur reconnu Graham Walsh, les Losers s'apprêtent à sortir leur deuxième album, « In The Crowd ». Absolute Losers is a rock trio from Charlottetown, PEI, made up of brothers Sam and Josh Langille alongside their longtime friend Daniel Hartinger. In 2024 the band was named “New Artist of the Year” at the Music PEI Awards.
Praised for their air-tight, high-energy live shows, Absolute Losers have become a must-see act, skillfully delivering on the crack musicianship of their recordings. Now, teaming up with acclaimed producer Graham Walsh, the Losers are gearing up to release their second full-length, “In The Crowd”. This promising sophomore effort showcases the band’s knack for sharp, straight-to-the-point pop songwriting without losing the raw edge that’s made them stand out.

Turbo Haus presents: The Thing + Morora
Qu'est-ce que The Thing ? C'est un groupe new-yorkais, certes, mais c'est aussi une philosophie. Un retour aux sources du rock & roll : aux groupes de garage trimant entre les minivans familiaux, à des groupes comme les Beatles et leur alchimie unique, aux magnétophones et aux enregistrements live plutôt qu'aux studios snobs et à la multitude d'auteurs-compositeurs. « On a en quelque sorte adapté cette philosophie : avec la restriction vient la créativité – l'ancien devient nouveau. Et à chaque étape du processus, cette philosophie reste la même », explique le guitariste et chanteur Jack Bradley.
Cela n'est jamais aussi évident que sur leur troisième album éponyme, sorti le 6 août sur leur propre label. Suite de 12 chansons brutes et chaotiques, clins d'œil à tout le monde, des Kinks aux White Stripes, The Thing sonne comme le vieux New York revitalisé et remixé. « On nous met tous en valeur, toutes nos personnalités », explique le bassiste et chanteur Zane Acord. « Avec The Thing, nous sommes un groupe collectif. Nous nous attachons à être un vrai groupe, où chacun est sous les projecteurs. Je pense que cela nous donne une touche différente.» Cet album fait suite à Here’s the Thing, premier album sorti en 2023, et à The Things Is, sorti l’année suivante.
Les quatre membres de Thing sont issus d’horizons différents, ce qui explique leur esprit rock-and-roll fusionnel. Acord a grandi avec un père batteur qui l’a initié à des groupes comme Led Zeppelin et Grand Funk Railroad ; il a rencontré le guitariste et chanteur Michael Carter, un fervent fan des Beatles, au collège. Le duo a ensuite accueilli Bradley au lycée, un producteur en herbe possédant un studio dans son sous-sol et un faible pour le rock psychédélique. Le batteur de jazz Lucas Ebeling a rejoint le groupe lorsque tout le groupe s’est installé à New York en 2022. Depuis, ils ont donné plus de 300 concerts à travers le monde.
L'album éponyme du groupe est donc l'aboutissement de toutes ces influences et de toute cette énergie. « On a mélangé toutes nos influences – toutes les décennies du rock and roll et des genres adjacents – pour finalement créer quelque chose qui nous est propre », explique Bradley. « Notre contribution au genre. Notre style. Notre… truc. »

What is The Thing? It’s a New York band, sure, but it’s also an ethos. A return to rock & roll’s roots — to garage bands toiling between the family minivans, to groups like the Beatles and their unique alchemy, to tape machines and live band recordings instead of slick studios and myriad songwriters. “We've kind of adapted the ethos of: with restriction comes creativity — old becomes new. And throughout every part of the process that remains true,” says guitarist/vocalist Jack Bradley.
Never is that more apparent than on their self-titled third record, out August 6th on their own label. A rough and tumble suite of 12 songs that nods to everyone from The Kinks to The White Stripes, The Thing sounds like old New York revivicated and remixed. “It showcases all of us, all of our different personalities,” says bassist/vocalist Zane Acord. “In The Thing, we’re a collective band. We hang our hats on being a true band — where we all have the spotlight. I think that gives us a different edge.” That album follows 2023’s debut, Here’s the Thing, and The Things Is, which dropped the following year.
The four members of Thing came from intersecting backgrounds, lending to their rock-and-roll-as-melting-pot vibe. Acord grew up with a drummer dad who hipped him to bands like Led Zeppelin and Grand Funk Railroad; he met guitarist/vocals Michael Carter — an avid Beatles fan — in middle school. The duo went on to collect Bradley in high school, an aspiring producer with a studio in his basement and a yen for psych rock. Jazz drummer Lucas Ebeling linked up with the band when everyone found their way to New York in 2022. They’ve since played more than 300 shows across the world.
The band’s self-titled work, then, is a culmination of all those influences — and all that hustle. “We threw all of our different various influences throughout — all the decades of rock and roll and adjacent genres — and ended up with something of our own,” Bradley says. “Our contribution to the genre. Our style. Our… thing.”

CPC3 Fundraiser
Come join us for an evening of music and good vibes in support of the Centre Psychosocial Communataire, Floor 3 (CPC3) inpatient psychosis unit. There will be pay-what-you-can donations accepted at the door. All proceeds directly contribute to patient rehabilitation activities, like outings to restaurants and apple picking, which are becoming increasingly difficult to organize due to recent budget cuts. We can't wait to share in an evening of music and solidarity for mental healthcare!
Venez passer une soirée conviviale et musicale au profit de l'unité d'hospitalisation en psychose du Centre psychosocial communautaire, 3e étage (CPC3). Une participation libre sera acceptée à l'entrée. L'intégralité des recettes contribuera directement aux activités de réadaptation des patients, comme les sorties au restaurant et la cueillette de pommes, devenues de plus en plus difficiles à organiser en raison des récentes restrictions budgétaires. Nous avons hâte de partager avec vous cette soirée de musique et de solidarité pour la santé mentale !
