Montreal musician Patrick Bennett will be releasing his first ever solo album under the name Old Boy on November 14th at Turbo Haus.
Entitled "Commune", the EP is a somber collection of songs written on piano which were inspired by the events surrounding the death of longtime friend and bandmate Nick Babeu.
Bennett is best known for his guitar and bass playing with bands such as Trigger Effect, Barn Burner, Beat Cops, Firearchy, Courtaud, Mountain Dust, Psychotic 4 and others.
Commune marks a departure as he performed all of the instruments on the album himself (piano, synthesizer, cello and harmonica) and features him on lead vocals for the first time.
The album will be available on clear splatter vinyl at the show and also athttps://oldboypatrickbennett.bandcamp.com/
